CVLC Youth Ministry

Our mission is to inspire youth to live Christ-centered lives. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where youth can build community with one another, learn about Christ, grow in their faith and be challenged in new and engaging ways. We want to help youth become leaders inside and outside our community at CVLC.

Wednesday High School Youth Group

High Schoolers meet each Wednesdays from 7:50 – 9:00 PM in the Youth Room. We share highs and lows, discuss current and theological topics, and play games and activities.

Serving With Attitude! Many of our high schoolers are involved with leadership at church. These SWAT teamers go through Peer Leadership Training each year and often help out with GLOW, Confirmation, Recharge Worship, and other areas around church.

Confirmation is a three-year program for 6-8th graders. We confirm 9th graders every fall as a way of helping them affirm the faith in which they were baptized. Confirmation meets during the program year on Wednesday. We start with pizza at 6:00 pm, then meet in large group and small groups with adult and high school leaders. We then invite parents/families to join us for our Recharge service at 7:30 to end our confirmation time.

Summer Stretch

Summer Stretch is for junior high students going into 6th – 9th grade. It meets Thursday afternoons in the summer, and combines a service project with a fun activity. The dates this year are June 13 & 27, July 11 & 25, and August 1 & 15. Click the link to register for Thursdays this summer. Registrations are due by May 23.

Other opportunities to grow in faith

Supporting the core youth ministries are events, activities, and trips designed to take our youth out of their comfort zone so they can learn, serve, and grow in new ways. These ministries include Camp Wapo, Feed My Starving Children, Mission Trips, Lock-ins and Retreats.

Youth Service and Leadership Scholarship

A scholarship program has been established as a part of the CV Endowment Fund to recognize graduating seniors of Christus Victor who have exhibited academic achievement, outstanding Christian service and leadership in the church and community, and will be attending university, college, community college, or technical college following graduation.
