With the arrival of Fall we begin to make plans for the Holidays. This year will be our 20th anniversary of serving the community with our Thanksgiving baskets program. To date we have given 3660 baskets to our neighbors. We partner with 360 Communities who helps us determine who the recipients will be.

Due to the high Covid infection rate in our area and the recommended guidelines, we have decided that families will get a $50 gift card to purchase their holiday meal. Families can pick items that will make the meal special for their family. We increased the value to $50 due to the high increase in food prices.

You can give by placing your donation in an envelope marked Thanksgiving Baskets, or purchase gift cards for $25 or $50 denominations for Cub, Aldi, Target, or Walmart. Please place the cards and receipts in a sealed envelope with your name written on the outside. Monetary donations are preferred because we can purchase gift cards in bulk at a discount. Deadline for donations will be Monday, November 22nd.

If you have any questions, please contact Peggy Sunwall at or call 952-432-9173 or ask anyone on the Social Ministries Committee. Hopefully in 2022 we will once again be able to gather and assemble our baskets.
