Pastor Kent Claussen Gubrud

Senior Pastor

Pastor Kent has served as a pastor at Christus Victor since October 1998, first as the Associate Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries, and then as Senior Pastor. For him, the most exciting part of serving at Christus Victor is the people: the members of our church and all of the people he gets to meet through our many partnerships and ministries in the community and around the world. It is a blessing to be part of the work of the Holy Spirit, learning, growing, and serving with people who are being touched and shaped by God’s grace in the Word and Sacraments.

Josh Svenulski

Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries

Josh started working at Christus Victor in the fall of 2019. He grew up in the Twin Cities and has been around the Lutheran Church World his whole life: grandson of a missionary pastor, attended Lutheran schools, and worked in outdoor camp ministries and other local churches. His wife Lydia is also a Deacon in the Lutheran Church, and they enjoy time at home together.

Deanna Luke

Office Manager

Deanna has had the privilege of serving the members of Christus Victor as the Office Manager since 2002. She and her husband, Pat, live in Apple Valley and have three grown children, a daughter-in-law, and two grandsons. She enjoys spending free-time with her family and friends.

Nikki & Albert Jordan

Directors of Music

Nikki and Albert Jordan bring an incredible depth of experience to the music ministry of Christus Victor. Nikki is the Director of Vocal Music at Kennedy High School in Bloomington, including the award-winning Rhythm in Gold show choir. She was also the Director of Youth music at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis for nine years. Albert brings his experience as both a performer and member of the artistic council of the acclaimed men’s acapella group, Cantus, as well as performing and serving on the artistic council for Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior, conducting for choir rehearsals and worship services. They work as a team bringing their experience, passion, and creativity to the music ministries of the church.
