Greenleaf Backpack Food Program
2 volunteers are needed to distribute pre-packaged bags of food to classrooms at Greenleaf. Choose to come at 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm the day before teachers put the bags in their student’s backpacks or come at 10:00 am – 10:30 am the day the food is put into the backpacks. Only choose one time each week for both volunteers to work together. Most weeks will be Thursday/Friday but the schedule varies according to days off school and vacation breaks. All food bags will be at Greenleaf and a list of classrooms and school map will be provided by the school social worker for the volunteers. It should take about 30 – 45 minutes to complete the task depending on how many students sign up for the food bags.
