Stewardship is a personal commitment of faith, affirming that all of who we are and everything we have is a blessing and gift from God. These blessings and gifts are to be used faithfully and wisely as we love God through loving our neighbors. Stewardship of our time, talents, and treasures is an act of worship, an expression of our faith in God our creator, redeemer, and sustainer, and a discipline for spiritual growth that helps us become the kind of faithful, grateful, generous people God wants us to be. Thank you for joining us as we respond with grateful and generous hearts, through making our pledges of giving to the Lord.

The Scrip Program is a great way to earn money for Christus Victor projects and events without spending any extra money! Just do your normal shopping and earn money for your church activities and programs. Gift cards purchased through the Scrip Program earn rebates that may be donated to CV projects such as Missions, Social Ministries, or Endowment, or they may be used to pay for individual expenses for attending events such as retreats, mission trips, or WAPO. Gift cards are available for many businesses – Cub, Kwik Trip, and Home Depot are just a few. More details and information on how to sign up are here.

How to use Scrip fund allocated to an individual account?
How Scrip generates revenue for CV?
The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches, schools and other nonprofit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. CVLC buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells it to families like yours for full face value. The discount – from two to fifteen percent or more – is CVLC’s revenue.
How to use Scrip?
When you fill out your member agreement form, you designate where your scrip rebates are to be allocated. They can be allocated to various Christus Victor ministries and activities, and they can also be allocated to an individual. Rebates allocated to an individual may be used toward CVLC sponsored activities such as WAPO camperships, mission trips, retreats, vacation bible school, etc. After you have registered to use scrip, just sign in at the scrip website (https://shop.shopwithscrip.com) and order your scrip. You can peruse a list of participating scrip retailers, or use the search function to look for a particular retailer.
What payment methods are available?
The preferred method of payment for scrip cards is by PrestoPay. For information on how to register for PrestoPay, log in to your ShopWithScrip account and search for “PrestoPay”. Payments may also be made by cash or check. Checks should be made payable to “Christus Victor”.
Where to order and pickup your scrip?
Order scrip cards online at www.ShopWithScrip.com and pick up your cards at church between Sunday services or on Wednesday evenings. Payments made by cash or check may also be done during this time. Some retailers allow you to reload existing scrip cards or order ScripNow eCards. This adds the convenience of having your scrip available immediately instead of picking up your cards at church. If you need any assistance, contact the scrip coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
