There are many known physical benefits of hiking, but did you know that many people also experience mental and spiritual benefits from hiking? A good hike can give you the space you need from the “real world”—no work, no phones, no errands—just peaceful time to be mindful and enjoy God’s amazing creation. Hiking relieves stress and worry and increases happiness, opening us up to more fully experience the ways God is working in our life and opening us up to more fulling use the spiritual gifts God has given to us. And with the CV Green Team, you also get to make connections with other members of CV and share in the wonderful experience of being active in the wonderful space God has created for us.
The CV Green Team will be organizing several hiking opportunities in July and August. Hikes will be on easy to moderate, mostly unpaved but well-maintain trails. Weeknight hikes with be approximately 60 minutes (2-3 miles) and weekend hikes will be approximately 75-90 minutes (3-4 miles).
If you are interested in any of the hiking opportunities below, please email Kate Nyquist (firstname.lastname@example.org).
