Join us on Thursday mornings in the Art Room at 10:00 a.m. some great Bible sudy and fellowship. Pastor Laura had so much fun with the group this summer that she and Pastor Kent will now share leadership of the group throughout the year.

What is Book of Faith? Small Groups meeting once a month for four months for Bible study, fellowship and renewal – we need new leaders and hosts to start new groups in January! Please contact Pastor Kent if interested!
Small group leaders set the day, time, and place (breakfast, lunch, Friday dinner, Monday night dessert, or Sunday afternoon) and determine what kind of group (ie. Couples, singles, women, men, young adults, or open to anyone).
Anyone interested may sign up for a group that fits their interest and schedule.
We need new small group leaders and hosts!!!
We can’t have a group without someone to guide the conversation. That’s the role of the small group leader – to keep the conversation going. Leaders are not teachers or experts. And they have partners, the hosts, who arrange for a place to meet and treats to eat. This is about learning and building relationships in a fun, faith-filled setting.

As part of our ongoing process to discern where God is leading our church, we will be holding a series of study and discussion groups to focus on the Biblical and theological issues related to the current controversy on the ELCA resolutions regarding homosexual persons and clergy.
The starting point for our study and discussion groups will be a seven-part series called “How Lutherans Interpret the Bible” by Dr. Mark Allen Powell. There will be two groups offered, so please sign up for one or the other at the information desk!

The annual Men’s Retreat and Broomball Tournament is coming up quick! Mark your calendars for February 19-21 at Camp WAPO. The cost is $100, plus $25 if you want to play on our Broomball Team. I would really like to see enough high school and college age guys joining us so we could have two teams! Please invite, invite, invite! Then get your $50 deposits in by Sunday, Feb. 7!!!

Join our friends from Lily of the Valley, Casa de Oracion, and Christus Victor on Saturday, February 27 at 5:00pm. We will start with a potluck and a chance to get to know one another and build friendships. At 6:30pm we will gather in the sanctuary for music, singing and praise led by musicians and groups from each of our churches.

Our Wednesday night worship services will focus on the theme “At the Cross.” Through a series of dramas we will be invited to come together at the foot of the Cross of Christ. Join us during Lent to deepen your spiritual life and faith.
