COOKIES FOR VISITORS

SENIOR CONNECTION

…meets Wednesday, May 2nd at 1:45 PM in the narthex.  We will sip coffee, snack (if someone brings snacks), chit chat about life, & take care of business.  At 2:30 PM we will go to Apple Valley High School to see the senior preview (free) of “Hello Dolly”.  Curtain time is 3:00 PM.  Please pass the word & sign up at the “Information Desk” TODAY.

PARENTS DO YOU NEED A BREAK?

…youth who are going to WAPO this summer will be providing babysitting at the church.  This is a special fundraising project to help earn money for camp and also provide a night for parents to enjoy time together.   The date is May 4th from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.

CALL COMMITTEE PROGRESS

An informational congregation meeting will be held TODAY, following the 11:00 AM service, to receive an update from the call committee on the process that has begun to hire an Associate Pastor for our congregation.  The meeting will cover how to submit a nomination to the committee & the form that must be completed to nominate a candidate.  Please note that submitting a candidate’s name does not guarantee an interview with the call committee.  The call committee will also have the congregation mission profile, which has been submitted to the synod, available for information purposes only.  This document is also available on the Christus Victor website as a PDF file & can be downloaded prior to the meeting.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A RAINBOW BAG

…for your child during church?  Thanks to Sally Montesinos, Rick Buffie and Ed Odden they have a new look & have moved.  They are now located by each entrance on hooks.  They have toys, books & quiet activities for children of all ages.  Enjoy!!  (We would also like to thank those of you who have donated quiet activities for the bags).
