THE BIBLE”, A SUNDAY MORNING ADULT CLASS…Continues today at 9:45 AM in the Fellowship Hall.
CONFIRMATION…We start this Wednesday, September 27th at 6:00 PM.  Get your registrations in!
THE LUTHERAN COURSE…Thursday nights at 6:30 PM beginning September 28th.  Come & learn more about what it means to be a Lutheran Christian.  Sign up at the “Information Desk”.
CV CHURCH DIRECTORIES ARE HERE!!…You may pick-up your church directory at the “Information Desk” today and next week.  After that you may pick up your directory in the church office Monday-Friday.
FOOD SHELF ITEM OF THE MONTH FOR SEPTEMBER IS…toiletries – toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc.
LOOKING FOR A MUSICIAN…to accompany our littlest singers during Sunday School each Sunday morning from 9:45 – 10:00AM.  If you can play piano or strum a guitar, & are willing to share your talents with preschoolers, please contact Doug Ashby at (651) 470-2898.
MEN’S BIBLE STUDY…Join us on the first & third Tuesday mornings of each month at 7:00AM in the Art Room for Bible Study, discussion, & prayer.  Bring your Bibles, coffee provided.
NEXT NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION…is Saturday, September 30th at 9:30AM.  The New Member Reception is Sunday, October 1st.  If you are interested in making CV your church home, talk to Pastor Kent today!
VOTE 2006: WE SHAPE OUR FUTURE…A candidate forum will be held at Mary Mother of the Church, 3333 Cliff RD, Burnsville on Tuesday, October 3rd at 7:00PM.   All candidates running for State Senate & House of Representatives for Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Lakeville & Rosemount (districts 36 A,37,38,40) have been invited.  Opening presentations will be followed by district meetings where citizens will have the opportunity to question candidates.  Exercise faithful citizenship by attending this forum. Become an informed voter.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH…interested in the winter mission trip to the Gulf Coast. There will be a meeting to see who is interested and to share primary details. We’ll be meeting in the Art Room at 5:00 pm on Wednesday October 4th.
ATTENTION PARENTS OF PRE-SCHOOL-5TH GRADERS…Our first field trip of the season is going to be October 15th (not October 8th as stated in the newsletter).  Remember, this is an in-church field trip including lunch, a movie, games & a surprise!

FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN THEME…5 loaves and 2 fishes = a $5.00 contribution (our goal is $1,500) & 40 volunteers willing to serve 2 hours – we will leave CV at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 14th & return at 2:00PM – sign up sheets are at the “Information Desk” – contact Brad Lund at (952) 431-1947, Betty Pell at (952) 431-4293, make a donation in the office, or see us at the info desk to make a contribution beginning Sunday, September 17th.
THE FOOD SHELVES ARE BARE!…After a very heavy summer demand on the food shelves, they are very low heading into the fall and the new school year. Please consider bringing in food each week for the food-shelf, focusing on the staples and family meals.  Thanks for helping us reach out to our neighbors with the love of Jesus in the form of the basic necessity of food.
