JOIN US AT THE BLAST TODAY!…Preschool – Grade 5 are invited on a trip to “The Blast” (an indoor playground with an outer space theme). We will meet here at 11:30AM for pizza & travel by vans to “The Blast”. We will then return at approximately 3:00PM for ice cream. Parents are encouraged to attend. Fee is $5.00/child (socks are required). Permission slips can be found at the “Information Desk”.
SUPPORT VBS BY DONATING A TREASURE!…Select a “jewel” from the Treasure Chest located on the front of the “Information Desk”. After selecting your jewel(s), please sign your name & phone number on the donation form next to the item(s) you are donating. Then tape the jewel on the item when you bring it to church and place it in the “Treasure Chest” in the narthex. Please bring in your items no later than Sunday, July 23rd. Thank you for your generosity!
CV CHILDREN & MIDDLE SCHOOL KIDS…are you ready for a week long tropical get away to Treasure Island? Then sign-up to join us for VBS! Dates for this year are Sunday, July 30th – Thursday, August 3rd. The mini-musical will be on Sunday, August 6th. You may sign-up today at the “Information Desk”. We hope to see you all there! CORRECTION…VBS Sunday Worship will be held August 6th at the 10:00AM service (NOT 11:00AM as written on the registration form).
2007 TANZANIA TRIP INTEREST MEETING…Sunday, July 23rd, between services in the Art Room. If you or anyone you know is interested in this mission trip please come & check it out!
JULY JOYFUL SERVANTS NEEDS YOU!…We need more members of CV to step forward to help with our weekly worship services. As we add a second service, we need you to help with the worship service as Greeters, Ushers, Lectors, Communion Assistants, and Nursery Helpers. Please sign-up in the hallway! FOOD SHELF ITEM OF THE MONTH FOR JULY IS…Laundry Detergent.
COOKIES FOR VISITORS…huddle in the Fellowship Hall after the 8:30AM worship on Sunday, August 6th. Anyone interested in checking out this avenue of service is welcome to join us.
TWINS GAME…Friday, August 11th. Grades 6 – 12 may sign up. The game starts at 7:10 PM but we’ll be meeting at church at 5:40PM. The cost is $15.00 & a portion of that cost will go towards Lutheran Social Service to help the homeless. There are 12 spots available.
CV MEN’S SAILING TRIP 2006…A fellowship adventure for the men of CV & their friends. Experience is not required. We will sail Thursday, Sept. 14th or Friday, Sept. 15th through Sunday Sept. 17th, to be decided by those going. We will depart Apple Valley the evening before. Sailing location is Lake Superior’s Apostle Islands. The cost will vary with days and menu. Last year’s cost for 3 days with 11 sailors was $135.00. There is information on the Men’s Bulletin Board and if you are interested in going, please sign up at the “Information Desk”.
MEN’S BIBLE STUDY…Join us on the first & third Tuesday mornings of each month at 7:00AM in the Art Room for Bible Study, discussion, & prayer. Bring your Bibles, coffee provided.
ALTAR FLOWERS…the following Sundays remain open for which you can order altar flowers: July 23, 30; November 5. The cost of an altar bouquet is $21.25. If you are interested in ordering flowers for one of these Sundays, please call Marilyn Kujawa at (952) 432-4956.
CONTRIBUTIONS WANTED…Social Ministries is seeking bakers extraordinaire & expert shoppers of concession food fare to volunteer their services by signing up to donate their choice of items for the Garage Sale Concession Stand. Sign up in the “Garage Sale Concessions Stand Donations Book” at the “Information Desk”. We thank you for your support of this ministry which sponsors a Tanzania student, purchases school supplies for the Iringa Diocese, & is seed money for Thanksgiving baskets for our local community.
