THE MUSIC & WORSHIP COMMITTEE…would like to invite you to come & help us get ready to celebrate Easter by helping to decorate the Sanctuary. We need help with all aspects of the decorating including the Lily cross & plant organization. We will be decorating on Saturday, April 15th from 9:00AM until approximately 12:00 noon. EASTER BREAKFAST…is coming! Spirit Bound will be serving breakfast between 7:30AM & 11:00AM on Easter morning. The menu is juice, milk, coffee, scrambled eggs, & sausage, pancakes, & rolls. Cost is a free-will offering. We need donations of rolls, muffins, coffee cakes, etc. Sign-up is at the welcome desk.
EXPECTANT PARENTS & PARENTS OF INFANTS…are invited to attend Faith Stepping Stone #1, “Raising a Healthy Baby.” The class will meet Saturdays, April 22 & April 29, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. & Tuesday, May 2, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 108. Please RSVP by Monday, April 17 to the church office.
SPRING IS HERE, & once again it is time to seek out your favorite member of Spirit Bound – some of them are at the welcome desk this morning – & get in on this fantastic fund raiser. A portion of everything sold goes directly to Spirit Bound – either a designated individual or the group as a whole. MEN’S BIBLE STUDY…Join us on the first & third Tuesday mornings of each month at 7:00AM in the Art Room for Bible Study, discussion, & prayer. Bring your Bibles, coffee provided.
KASH FOR KATRINA…Social Ministries is sponsoring a fundraiser for the victims of Hurricane Katrina from April 16th thru May 14th – See the sample kits in the narthex – 1 personal hygiene kit & 1 kit of cleaning products – it costs approximately $20.00 to purchase the items in these kits – we are asking for KASH donations towards these items & will be sending the money down to our companion church, Christus Victor of Ocean Springs, MS with the next mission group going – please make your donations at the “Information Desk” in the narthex or to any Social Ministry member.
MISSION TRIP…to Montana to help out the US Forest Service has been cancelled due to a lack of interest. We’ll begin planning for next years’ trip after the summer.
FIRST ANNUAL WOMEN’S ONLY BWCA TRIP…has been scheduled
If you have always wanted to see the beautiful BWCA but did not want to go for an extended amount of time or if you just want to try something new, join us for four relaxing, peaceful days in the beautiful BWCA. No previous canoeing experience is necessary.
