EASTER BREAKFAST…Spirit Bound will be serving breakfast between 7:30AM & 11:00AM TODAY.  The menu is juice, milk, coffee, scrambled eggs, & sausage, pancakes, & rolls.  Cost is a free-will offering.
EXPECTANT PARENTS & PARENTS OF INFANTS…are invited to attend Faith Stepping Stone #1, “Raising a Healthy Baby.”  The class will meet Saturdays, April 22 & April 29, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. & Tuesday, May 2, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 108. Please RSVP by Monday, April 17 to the church office.
SIXTH ANNUAL MIDWIFE KIT PROJECT…we will be collecting items to make midwifes kits beginning next Sunday, April 23rd.  We are in need of regular bath size towels, receiving blankets, regular size bars of Ivory soap, & gently used sheets or 36″ squares of muslin.  Please drop your donations off in the collections box in the narthex.  Be sure to sign up in the Social Ministries book to come help us assemble these kits on Saturday, May 13th & celebrate Mother’s Day by “Celebrating Life”.  Any questions contact Betty Pell at (952) 431-4293.
3RD ANNUAL “TASTE OF TANZANIA DINNER”…On Sunday April 30th at 5:30PM at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Shoreview Evening includes:  Tanzania Menu, Special Program, Tanzanian Marketplace.  All free-will offerings toward the dinner & sales from the “marketplace,” will go towards different projects to support our partnership with the Kidamali Parish.  Please come & join in the fun!  To reserve a spot, please call Pastor Vera at (651) 483-5419 Ext. 102 or e-mail PastorVera@shepherdshoreview.org.  The deadline for sign-up to attend is Sunday, April 23rd.


FRIENDSHIP SUNDAY…April 30th.  Invite a friend to experience CV worship.
KASH FOR KATRINA…Social Ministries is beginning this Sunday to raise “KASH” for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.  Peggy Sunwall will be at the “Information Desk” in the narthex collecting any & all donations for our companion church, Christus Victor of Ocean Springs, MS.  It costs approximately $20.00 to purchase the items in these kits, 1 personal hygiene kit & 1 kit of cleaning products (see the sample kits in the narthex).  We are asking for KASH donations towards these items, & will be sending the money down with the next mission group going.  Please prayerfully consider a “KASH” donation.
FOOD SHELF ITEM OF THE MONTH…boxed meals.

FIRST ANNUAL WOMEN’S ONLY BWCA TRIP…has been scheduled
If you have always wanted to see the beautiful BWCA but did not want to go for an extended amount of time or if you just want to try something new, join us for four relaxing, peaceful days in the beautiful BWCA.  No previous canoeing experience is necessary.
Date:  August 19 – 22, 2006
(leaving Apple Valley on Friday evening, August 18th)
Cost:  $170 – includes EVERYTHING except several meals out & any souvenirs

MISSION TRIP…to Montana to help out the US Forest Service has been cancelled due to a lack of interest.  We’ll begin planning for next years’ trip after the summer.
THANK YOU…Social Ministries would like to thank everyone who participated in the March Food Drive Contest.  The final numbers are in- Women 338; Men 292.  Congrats to the Women!  The local food shelf in Rosemount is very thankful for our donations as there is an increased demand this year.  Please continue to support the food shelf, & watch for “Items of the Month” posted in the bulletin & newsletter.  Thanks again.
ALTAR FLOWERS…the following Sundays remain open for which you can order altar flowers:  May 7, 21; June 11; July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; August 6, 13, 20; September 3, 17; October 1, 15, 22, 29; November 5, 26; December 17.  The cost of an altar bouquet is $21.25.  If you are interested in order flowers for one of these Sundays, please call Marilyn Kujawa at (952) 432-4956.
MEN’S BIBLE STUDY…Join us on the first & third Tuesday mornings of each month at 7:00AM in the Art Room for Bible Study, discussion, & prayer.  Bring your Bibles, coffee provided.
